3 Day 2 night Cape Tribulation & Cooktown Tour - 5% OFF

This is a great 3 day 2 night 4wd trip to Cape Tribulation and Cooktown.

The first day starts early in the morning with everyone being collected from their accommodation. The bus then travels along Captain Cook Highway towards Cape Tribulation. Travellers sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the coast. After around 2 hours drive the group has their first stop at the Daintree River. Time to go for a 1 hour guided river cruise and see big crocs in their natural habitat. After the cruise everyone enjoys a delicious barbecue lunch, then go for a guided rainforest walk at the Marrdja Botanical Boardwalk.

The next location to visit is Cape Tribulation beach, then afterwards the 4wd bus travels through the famous Bloomfield Track to the beautiful shire of Wujal Wujal. The next stop is at the Lion’s Den Hotel for a little rest, then the group continues on the road to Cooktown.

At Cooktown the group check in at their accommodation, Sovereign Resort, and enjoy a well deserved dinner.

The second day starts with a delicious breakfast at the resort, then it is time to visit many amazing places around the Cooktown region. The driver guide will spend the day with everyone sharing fascinating information about the history of Cooktown including when Captain Cook hit a reef system just off Cape Tribulation and had to stay for many days at Cooktown to repair his ship MB Endeavour.

The first location to visit is the National Trust Listed site of Reconciliation Rocks, which marks the first recorded act of reconciliation between our First Nations people and Captain James Cook. The next place is the Heritage Listed Cooktown Cemetery with graves dating back to the 1800’s. Then in the afternoon everyone visits James Cook Museum and Grassy Hill Lookout where there are magnificent views over the Endeavour River and out to the Coral Sea.

On the third day everyone gets up and have breakfast and it is time to hit the road and start to head back to Cairns through the outback savannah country. On the way there is a stop at the Black Mountain National Park Lookout and the Byerstown Range Lookout. The trip continues on Palmer River Roadhouse until we get to the famous Skybury Coffee Plantation (Australia’s oldest coffee plantation) where lunch will take place. in the afternoon there is stop at Barron Falls Lookout and guided walk at Cattana Wetlands.

Return to Cairns is at the end of the afternoon.
