This is a great activity for the whole family. The minimum age for the river tubing is 5 years of age so the whole family can enjoy this adventure.
The river tubing is also a half day activity and it is available in the morning and afternoon so very convenient for those with limited time in Cairns.
There are three rivers where the tubing is conducted and they are chosen depending on the water levels and conditions on the day of travel. This makes sure clients get the best experience possible. The rivers are Behana Gorge, Mulgrave River or Little Mulgrave River.
The tubing is fully supervised by a minimum of two river guides. The guides are very well trained and they participate in regular ongoing river rescue and First Aid training, which ensures high safety standards on every tour.
In this activity all equipment and instruction are provided. No previous tubing experience is necessary.

For your safety you will not be permitted to participate in the activity if we detect you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, no refund will apply. Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.
Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is to be completed 48 hours prior to departure or on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy.
Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.
Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
