Visitors travel on a beautiful 32 metre motor sailing catamaran that departs daily from Cairns and travels to a beautiful sand cay called Michaelmas Cay.
Michaelmas Cay is a vegetated sand cay located 17km north of Green Island and 43km of Cairns. Around the cay you have Michaelmas Reef, a reef with colourful marine life where passengers have the opportunity to snorkel or dive. Also the cay is home to many species of birds. Great place for bird lovers.
Travellers get snorkelling equipment, snorkelling instruction, guided semi-submersible tour with full commentary and informative marine biologist reef presentation. Also a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch with freshly prepared local and exotic produce including seafood is included.
Snorkelling is easy on this tour because it is done directly from the beach. Travellers gently enter the water and snorkel around the cay where the reef is located. The water is shallow and calm. Also travellers can scuba dive If they want to, or why not just relax on the beautiful white sand of Michaelmas Cay.

Reef Tax: $6.50 is levied for all adults and children entering the Great Barrier Reef. This charge and other levies are INCLUDED in the cruise fares.
Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.
Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is usually paid directly to the tour operator on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy. Some tour operators request full payment at the time of booking.
Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.
Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
