This tour package includes return ferry transfer from Cairns and sea kayaking tour from the island. The kayaking tour takes 1.5 hours and people of all ages are welcome to participate. Small kids need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Fitzroy Island is a tropical paradise island located about 45 minutes by boat from Cairns Marina. Fitzroy Island has a reef system around, part of the Great Barrier Reef so visitors can snorkel and explore the reef available there. The island is 339 hectares and it has mountains and a beautiful rainforest. Great location for hiking and exploring the nature.
Kayaking around the island is a fun and beautiful experience. Participants kayak around the island and get to locations where other people wouldn't be able to go without a kayak. During the tour people get to see some marine life such as sea turtles, fish, corals and even stingrays depending on the day (not guaranteed).
For those people without any kayaking experience, this is no problem at all, the tour is fully guided and the guide will teach everyone how to kayak safely and correctly and also teach some really cool tricks.
After the tour people are free to enjoy the rest of the day on the island doing other activities or just relaxing by the beach.

Please Note:
Beaches: The beaches on Fitzroy Island are not patrolled by surf life savers. Marine stingers are present in tropical waters from November – May and clients will be provided with a stinger suit for use while snorkelling during this period.

Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.
Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is usually paid directly to the tour operator on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy. Some tour operators request full payment at the time of booking.
Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.
Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
