Kangaroo Explorer is a comfortable 25 meter catamaran specifically designed for Queensland coastal cruising. The main deck features a saloon, servery for the galley and a licensed bar. All meals are prepared fresh onboard by their chef. For maximum flexibility Kangaroo Explorer operates daily so passengers can stay for as long as they like. The transfer to the liveaboard is operated by Sun-kist, an 18 metre catamaran.
Kangaroo Explorer has a spacious dive deck that provides easy and comfortable access to and from the water. If guests don't want to spend too much time in the water they can have a nice and relaxing time on the vessel's sun lounge.
The liveaboard has 16 comfortable cabins made up of twin, double and 4 berth. The double and twin cabins are no extra charge, first come first served, at the time of booking. All cabins are fully air-conditioned and feature ensuites and portholes for maximum comfort and convenience.
All meals and linen are included but guests need to supply their own towels. At night the best thing to do is to sit back and relax at the bar or enjoy the atmosphere on the deck with the amazing night sky.
In regards to activities passengers can spend as much time as they want in the water snorkelling but they will also have the opportunity to try an introductory scuba dive (at an extra cost) so the reef can be seen from a different perspective.
Kangaroo Explorer moored on the Great Barrier Reef, approximately 65 kilometers off the coast of Cairns and visits at least two different reef sites each day including Milln, Briggs, Moore, Elford, Channel and Thetford reefs. The captain selects the best locations to visit on a day-by-day basis choosing the ones with the best visibility and conditions under water.
