In this tour travellers can relax and have an easy morning before boarding the helicopter and fly to the outer reef at around 11am. The arrival time at the pontoon is around the same time as the other passengers travelling by boat.
The view from the helicopter is quite impressive. Passengers get to see numerous locations from the air such as Four Miles Beach, the Rainforest, the famous Daintree River, Snapper Island and the turquoise waters of the Coral Sea. Also, there is always a possibility to encounter some marine life such as dolphins, turtles and whales.
The helicopter lands on a helipad in the middle of the Agincourt Reef and passengers are transferred to Quicksilver's luxury and spacious floating platform where many activities are available for them to join during the day.
Agincourt Reef is located at the outer edge of the Barrier Reef where special reefs known as ‘ribbons’ run parallel to the Continental Shelf. These ribbon reefs are considered one of the most pristine eco-systems of the Great Barrier Reef. The clear waters and great underwater visibility encourages coral growth and supports beautiful marine life, making the location quite special for divers and snorkellers. Diving is not permitted in this package.
Quicksilver provides a great day for both swimmers and non-swimmers as the spacious platform offers many activities such as unlimited snorkelling, semi-submersible, underwater observatory, glass bottom boat and much more.
Extra activities include:
After a great day in the water the return is on a high-speed air-conditioned wavepiercing catamaran with great comfort. .
