Day 1: Green Island
Green Island is a beautiful coral cay on Australia's Great Barrier Reef with unique island rainforests, surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnificent coral reefs and abundant marine life.
This island tour offers three daily departures to the beautiful Green Island so clients can spend up to 7 hours on this tropical paradise. But this package is perfect for visitors with limited time offering a half day on Green Island and half day at Kuranda with the train and skyrail. Also included for the day on Green Island is a choice of glass bottom boat coral viewing OR snorkelling equipment.
The travelling to the island is only 50 minutes by a fast catamaran across the Coral Sea and clients have plenty to do and explore in this unique reef and rainforest coral cay. Listed below is some of the activities available on Green Island.

Day 2: Kuranda
Kuranda is a village in the rainforest situated in the hills of Cairns. There are different ways to access the village, by road through the Kuranda range but the popular way is by the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Scenic Railway.
At this tour option clients visit Kuranda without missing out on anything important. Travellers travel up to Kuranda by the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and travels down back to Cairns on the famous Kuranda scenic railway. Pick up is included from your accommodation. The train arrives back at Cairns Central Shopping Centre in the city, then make your way back to your hotel.
Kuranda provides visitors with many shopping opportunities, all within easy walking distance around the CBD, including the famous Kuranda markets which consists of a range of stalls with locally made arts, crafts and produce. Kuranda has also numerous art galleries and specialty shops offering a wide selection of locally made and designed art, clothing and handicrafts as well as a variety of sidewalk cafes and restaurants. Kuranda is also a major centre for opals and didgeridoos.
Some of the attractions in Kuranda include the Bird World Kuranda, the Butterfly Sanctuary and the Koala Gardens.Tickets can be purchased at the park entrance.

All Divers: In accordance with Australian Diving law, ALL DIVERS must complete a medical questionnaire on board, before diving.
Flying after Diving: If only one dive is undertaken then a minimum of 12 hours is recommended before flying. If more than one dive is conducted in the day, an interval of 24 hours is recommended.This is not applicable for low helicopter flights over the reef.
Introductory Divers - NOTE: Certain medical conditions may prevent you from diving, (e.g. Asthma, Heart Disease), please contact our office. Min. age to dive is 12 years.
Kuranda: Level of fitness:The rainforest walk is graded easy and it can be done by anyone with any level of fitness.

Reef Tax: $6.50 is levied for all adults and children entering the Great Barrier Reef. This charge and other levies are INCLUDED in the cruise fares.
Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.
Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is to be completed 48 hours prior to departure or on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy.
Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.
Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
