Kuranda is a village in the rainforest situated in the hills of Cairns. There are different ways to access the village, by road through the Kuranda range but the popular way is by the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Scenic Railway.
This Kuranda tour offers clients to travel up to Kuranda by the Kuranda Scenic Railway and travels down back to Cairns on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Also pick up & drop off from hotels and accommodations are included in the day package.
In the heart of Kuranda Village clients get access to the famous Australian Butterfly Sanctuary. The park is the largest butterfly aviary and exhibit in the Southern Hemisphere, the sanctuary is home to over 2000 butterflies from a variety of species.
After exploring the Butterfly Sanctuary clients are transferred to the Rainforestation which is a short drive from the village.The Rainforestation is a 40 hectare park surrounded by beautiful rainforest and tropical gardens where many activities are available for visitors. Please see them below.
Amy Duck:
Army Duck is half car and half boat vehicle which carries up to 30 passengers and can travel on roads and water. During this 45 minutes of pure adventure the Duck Captain will identify fascinating plants and wildlife and provide interesting information about them. Clients will also visit the tropical fruit orchard which has over 60 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees.
Koala & Wildlife Park:
At Koala & Wildlife Park visitors are welcomed and guided around the park by an experienced Wildlife Keeper. The park features elevated boardwalks which provide an uninterrupted views of many different Australian animals including reptiles. Visitors can handfeed kangaroos and wallabies, observe endangered cassowaries, see wombats and lace monitors, and safely encounter snakes and other reptiles.
Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience:
At Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience a local indigenous guide welcome visitors to join them on a journey to discover the Dreamtime and learn about the aboriginal customs and traditions. This activity takes approximately 1 hour to complete which includes both the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dance Show and the Dreamtime Walk. This is the perfect activity for visitors who wants to learn more about the fascinating history of Australia’s Indigenous culture.

Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.
Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is usually paid directly to the tour operator on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy. Some tour operators request full payment at the time of booking.
Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.
Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
